What I do...
I am starting my first year with Levé as a member of the events committee. In my professional work, I am a preschool teacher at the Mentor Graphics Child Development Center. It is our mission to make a difference in the lives of children by being a leader in the implementation and modeling of a high quality, innovative and creative early childhood program. We offer outstanding environments that feature inventive, emergent, project-based curriculum. I am also passionate about supporting Olivia’s Wish – The Olivia Medici Memorial Foundation, which raises funds to help children and families in need at both Duke University Medical Center and OHSU/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. I also volunteer my time to the Junior League of Portland as the chair of the Bring Me a Book committee, which provides workshops to underprivileged families, focused on the importance of reading aloud to children and empowering parents to be their child’s first teacher.
In 2006 I graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Early Childhood Development and Education and a minor in Spanish. After graduation I attended George Fox University and received my Master of Arts in Teaching.
