SELECTION CRITERIA

Our one absolute is that the nonprofit must be headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. While not required, we also look for organizations that will be greatly impacted by our contribution—possibly allowing them to implement a new program or initiative by being able to count on a Levé line item in their annual budget. Ideally, selected nonprofits will also have volunteer opportunities for our board members and can provide a primary point of contact throughout the planning process. Other considerations are organizations that employ sustainable practices and ones that have a real need and desire to connect with younger donors.

Please note that each year we try to select a nonprofit partner that serves a different type of need in our community. We have recently supported Schoolhouse Supplies, Growing Gardens, Children’s Cancer Association and Loaves & Fishes Centers, and will likely look for applicants that are working in other areas. We do this because we want to consistently educate our networks and event-goers about the many needs of our community. Our hope is that, by doing so, one organization will resonate with what each of our peers already values and activate them to become lifelong supporters.
